She had all of the love and hope for her dad. Mibs was going with people like Lester and Lil to reach her dad, even if she doesn't know them at all. This whole story is about how Mibs is trying to reach her Poppa at the hospital. This was because the crash was so fatal that he fell in a coma. The result was that Poppa had to go to the Salina Hope Hospital. "Maybe you're not the only one with a secret, Mibs."" On page 101, it says, "He smiled back at me with a devilish grin. She wanted to know what the secret was really bad, so she threw a tantrum about it. Will knew that Mibs had a secret, which was the savvies, so he didn't want to tell his secret to Mibs. This was an internal conflict for Mibs because she really wanted to know what was Will's secret that he was hiding from her. This picture illustrates the 3rd conflict of this book.
Now I have to live here! This is a terrible place! I miss our old place by the sea! Because of you, I have to stay here! On page 1, it says, "Water had a way of triggering my brother and making ordinary, everyday weather take a frightening turn for the course." Fish has the power to make storms, so he is just making random storms when he is angry and doesn't let neighbors enjoy that much. He is making a lot of damage and is changing everyone's life crucially. Rocket is mad and is making the power go out in neighboring cities. Momma gave a whole big lesson about how to scumble your savvy to teach them how to. This is the conflict where nobody in the family could scumble their savvies, also known as controlling the powers. On page 8 it states, "We were all smiling to each other around the kitchen table at the smart way we'd taken care of those beans when Momma dropped the phone with a rattling clatter and a single sob-perfectly devastated." This affects Mibs because she literally risked her own life saving her dad by going on an adventure with random people. For example, Momma was so terrified she suddenly dropped the phone after hearing about the incident. Since the accident was on the busy highway at that time, it was very fatal.
This conflict was when Poppa's car crashed on the highway. Tell me your secret Will Junior! Why are you called that anyway! Junior? Why! Oh why! Maybe, I'm not the only one who has a secret Mibs. No Dear! Please! Try to scumble your savvy.
